Heal Your Body

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance and greater flexibility.

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don’t get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is common after the treatment and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Massage Cupping is a modified version of the common practice of cupping therapy, used in traditional Chinese medicine and the results that this simple treatment produces are impressive. Through suction and negative pressure, massage cupping releases rigid soft tissue; drain excess fluids and toxins; loosen adhesions and lift connective tissue; and bring blood flow to stagnant skin and muscles.

Facial Cupping is a quick, non-invasive way to rejuvenate the face. Facial muscles are tightened. Lines, wrinkles and puffiness are reduced. Rigidity associated with TMJ can be relieved and sinus pressure is reduced. Facial cupping may also:

  • Drain stagnant fluids to ease puffiness in the face

  • Reduce tension of facial muscles

  • Loosen rigid muscles associated with TMJ

  • Aid in draining sinuses

  • Ease expression lines

  • Soften lines, wrinkles and scar tissue

  • Enhance absorption of lotions and serums

CranioSacral Therapy is a bodywork method that focuses on gently stimulating your CranioSacral system (membranes and fluid that surround the brain and spinal cord) to heal the body by improving the functioning of the central nervous system. CST effectively complements your body’s natural healing process and has been known to help alleviate a wide variety of problems including:

  • Central Nervous System Disorders

  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

  • TMJ

  • Fibromyalgia

Stone Therapy is a type of bodywork that uses deep penetrating heat and/or alternating cold from specialized stones. The physiological benefits of alternating hot and cold to the body have long been scientifically and medically proven.
Stone Therapy delivers a profound expansion and contraction inside your circulatory system, improving the function of your lymphatic and immune systems and enhancing your body’s self-healing mechanisms. This style of bodywork takes you into deep states of relaxation, releasing stress and anxiety, detoxifying the body and balancing your nervous system.

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing “trigger points” in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle tissue rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These ‘knots’ are built up throughout a person’s life due to physical, mental and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.

Medical Massage differs from regular Massage and Bodywork in that the treatment is specifically directed to resolve conditions diagnosed by a medical doctor. We may use a variety of modalities or techniques during the treatment, but we focus the treatment only on the specific areas of the body related to the diagnosis. This enhances the body’s natural self-healing process and reduces the needed recovery time from injury.

Using essential oils beneficial to hormonal balance and relaxation, we perform a wonderful technique combining aromatherapy, reflexology and back massage to help you relax, balance your hormones and gently realign your spine. What makes this treatment extra special is that a castor oil pack treatment is included. Castor oil packs can help remove toxins, break down scar tissue, reduce cysts and fibroids, help with endometriosis, balance your hormones, and support your womb and ovaries by improving blood flow to nourish and strengthen the pelvic area.

Other benefits of this hormonal balance technique are increased fertility, better quality sleep resulting in increased energy, improved thyroid function, increase libido, a healthy immune system, decreased stress levels, decreased PMS and menopause symptoms, and more.
